hi all sorry i haven't 'blogged' for a while life has just been playing me bad cards lately,and ive been busy setting up a facebook page(if your on facebook please look me up as wyldewoodpyro )all in all its been a roller-coaster of a ride.
So where am i up to ? ooh yes for the last few months i've been working on an old piece ,one id started over a year ago and never finished so i though id do a bit more.the main bit of it is the hare i use in all my profile pics ,i started of finishing the hare.I burned the shaded areas so that it gives it a little depth before i cut over it with the fur markings before a final shade over the top all the detailing in the face had already been done .
Next i started on the background adding grass and the trees and plants,again drawing in the details before shading working them over and over till they were the way i wanted.shading the main part took the most time as it was the grass of the field.one slip up caused me a near breakdown,as it was in the sky and very visible,but with a little imagination i managed to fix it with the placing of a bird,a buzzard in fact.the picture still is'nt finished yet but i feel better for doing a bit more.we shall see when i finally get to finish it ....if ever . anyway thanks for reading,ill be back soon in the mean time feel free to check out my website www.wyldewoodpyro.com on facebook and twitter as wyldewoodpyro.brightblessings to all ~nikki~

Another day of burning wood ,strange way to spend your day really!although there could be worse ways at least i can stop when i want for a cuppa.
This picture is really getting to me(in more ways than one,baad backache) its grown from a quick picture filling just the center of the wood to a full blown picture filling just about every inch ,didn't mean to do that ,not with a deadline :O$ive mentioned to a few people how it always astonishes me how these things seem to take on a life of there own ,you come up with a basic sketch start filling it in with the pyrography pen ,and then "ooh maybe if i put a little ...here,and maybe this there"and before you know it the picture has warped,changed beyond the simple sketch you began with to the point you dont recognize it and even wonder if you did it at all !
I still can't show it yet as its a commission,as was the piece before,so it looks like i haven't been doing anything for the last month ,i assure all i have been working very,very hard ...although i could probably spend a little less time on facebook ..but then its probably a good idea to let the pen cool off a bit ~

Everything im working on at the moment is private commissions ,i am ecstatic to do the work ,but on the down side i can't do my normal thing of showing 'in progress' photos and talk about it .it always amaze's me how these thing work out ,for months I'll have non ,nothing,nadda,zip,no sales no requests,no interest......then all of a sudden I'll get 1 then 2 maybe even three commissions and a sale! then it's a mad panic to get the work done .ain't life weird =:0)
